The ultimate goal of the architectural design of Frank Gehry would be the redevelopment, revitalization and architectural expansion of the facility at Dundas Street West and McCaul Street. The $276-million project’s goal was to increase access to art displays, programming, conservation, storage, creation and research, using visible walkways, glass and natural light to help connect activity in the gallery with the city around it.

The signage and wayfinding elements produced by Acumen Visual Group were an integral component connecting the AGO buildings into a unified edifice. All signage elements were treated as works of art with the same attention to detail applied to all 10 thousand signage elements, including individual letters, large donor panels, and elevator directories.
