Ideas Built

The Royal Ontario Museum

In 2007, Acumen Visual group was honored to provide the services comprising the fabrication, development and installation of wayfinding signage for the Royal Ontario Museum.

Royal Ontario MuseumWe view this assignment not only from the perspectives of innovative fabrication techniques and service excellence, but also what signage could ultimately provide to enhance the image and perception of the ROM.

Indeed, aesthetic design, and premium craftsmanship have always been fundamental and inherent to Museum designs, which have now become symbolic structures with cultural and architectural significance.

Therefore at Acumen, we believe that objects residing within architectural and environmental spaces – including signage, must seamlessly integrate with and uphold the aesthetic of the designed space.

From the 1914 original design by architects Darling and Pearson, to the new Studio Daniel Libeskind – Michael Lee Chin Crystal, we celebrate great Ideas Built.
